Wives, does this describe you?

Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.   Colossians 3:17-19

In our society today, we tend to ignore this verse "Because it has such a strong negative requirement for wives."  In this age of individualism we consider it difficult, if not impossible to subject ourselves to another person in any way.  What are your thoughts on this matter?  The first person to respond to this post by 7/15/2012 will receive a gift certificate.  I am interested in your opinion.  Please feel free to respond to this post.  I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Just in Time For Fathers Day

This post is borrowed from a recent facebook post by Dennis Rainey.

"He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. What still stands between you and the forgiveness of a parent who has hurt you deeply? Will you forgive him or her?"  How is your relationship with your parents?

Dennis Rainey
The link above will bring you to a Stepping Up promotional video.  The Stepping Up Simulcast will take place on August 4, 2012.  During the simulcast Dennis Rainey, and several others will challenge and equip men to "Courageous" manhood.  This is an excellent follow up to the movie Courageous. If you fall into one of the following categories, this simulcast is for you:

• A Man who is  stuck between adolescence and mature manhood who needs someone to call them to step up.
• A Man who needs a bigger vision for what real manhood should look like.
• A Man who has learned what it means to be a man, but is unskilled at reaching down and calling the next generation of young men to step up.
